Install a new Fonts on your Windows XP system :

With the usual Fonts that come with Windows XP system you are able to perform almost all the text functions which you need to use in any of text editors such as Microsoft Word, Word Pad, Notepad and other softwares... If you want to decorate your text and add freshness to it with a different word writing style then you need to download some of the free fonts from the internet and install them on your computer with following this instructions below :

Step 1 : Find and download from the web Font which you want to install on your computer. To give you simple example I downloaded Font file with name Gabrielle and place it on my desktop.

Step 2 : Open icon My Computer then on the right side chose Control Panel. When Control Panel menu is open do left click on Appearance and Themes.

Step 3 : On the left side of the new screen from the menu "See Also" chose Fonts.

Step 4 : You should now be in the window where you can see all the installed Fonts on your computer. Copy Font file which you downloaded from the internet end do right click / paste at Fonts window.

Test : You can simply test if the Font which you just installed working. Go on WordPad program and from Font list try to find your new Font. My installation of Gabrielle Font as you can see on the next picture is completed successfully.

Make Windows XP File Search Faster :

Searching for a different files and folders is something very easy with Windows XP but it may take a long time especially on the new hard drives on which you can save even several terabytes of data. In this situation, there is an option which will allow you to browse your files faster and you will get resoults as soon as file is found. Normal settings of computer search scans your hard and other drives step by step which make searching much longer but that thing you can modify and make it faster with the following instructions :

Step 1 : Left click on Windows Start Menu and then again click on Search button (the same like we show you on picture below).

Step 2 : When Search window is open, look in down left side and click "Change Preferences".

Step 3 : Next thing is that from options which will shown you chose "Change files and folders search behavior".

Step 4 : Switch search mode from Standard to Advanced and do left click at OK button.

Step 5 : Now go back to your search and try to find some documents (I prefer option All files and folders) .

Conclusion : I did after this change and one simple test. With Standard search option I needed 7 seconds to find one basic text file. With Advanced option my computer needed only 2 seconds! Much faster what do you think?
